Why does Panchang change by place?
Sunrise, sunset, timezone and ascendant timings depend on location. Two cities can therefore show different Hora, Choghadiya, Muhurta and Lagna times for the same civil date.
Why can a Tithi or Nakshatra span two dates?
These are angular astronomical divisions, not midnight-to-midnight calendar blocks. Their boundaries may occur at any local time.
Which time is highlighted as current?
The calculator highlights the period active at the date, local time and place entered in the form—not necessarily the visitor’s current moment.
Can this replace a local ceremonial Panchang?
It is a transparent daily timing reference. Major ceremonies may use regional, lineage-specific or festival rules, so local verification remains appropriate.
