Clear answers

Frequently asked questions

Can I add any city or town to the comparison?

Yes. Search by place name and choose a result with an IANA time zone. Up to ten locations can be saved on one device, removed, and reordered.

How does automatic local time detection work?

The browser supplies its current IANA time-zone identifier. The first visit adds that device time zone to the comparison without requesting precise GPS coordinates.

Why can the time difference between two cities change?

A difference can change when one location changes its daylight-saving offset and the other does not, or when their changeover dates differ.

Can I convert a past or future date?

Yes. The converter applies IANA time-zone rules for the chosen date and detects repeated or skipped local times around clock changes.
